Magic Theater
Magic Theater
November 21, 2014
The Magic Theater at Fort Mason is one of the most important non-profit theater groups in the San Francisco Bay Area. The developed master plan reworks the north and south third story theaters (approx. 150 seats each) and redesigns their lobbies to solve operational problems and enhance the visitor experience. On the ground floor, the addition of a new central “Magic” lobby with a café creates a new center of gravity for the institution. This space is complimented by a new flexible 220-seat theater (either thrust, arena or full round productions) and a smaller black box theater.
