Checking for Water Leaks on Facades

by Evan Jacob, January 5, 2015

Walters & Wolf, a local façade fabricator firm, is working on the facades that we’ve designed at 270 Brannan in San Francisco’s South End Historic District. The firm has built a mock-up of a portion of our curtainwall to test for water leaks. The test involves spraying water on the window, then blowing the water with a DC-3 rotary prop engine to simulate a 69 MPH wind.
